The Samsung Bespoke Jet ($899) is the most stylish cordless vacuum on the market — and the only one with an auto-emptying dock that charges the vacuum and looks like furniture. But at $899, it competes directly with Dyson's flagships. After 30 days of testing, here is whether style wins over substance.
What We Love
1. The Clean Station Dock Is the Killer Feature
When you dock the Bespoke Jet, it automatically empties the dust bin into a sealed bag — just like a robot vacuum dock. You will never see a dust cloud again. The dock also charges the vacuum, so it is always ready. No wall mounting required — the dock sits on the floor and looks like a minimalist end table. Available in misty white, midnight blue, and woody green, it is the only vacuum dock you will not want to hide in a closet.
2. Strong Suction at 210 AW
Competitive with Dyson's 240 AW (V15) and cleaner than most mid-range cordless vacuums. On hardwood, pickup rate was 97.2% — about 2% behind the Dyson Gen5. On carpet, it managed 93.1% — slightly behind Dyson but adequate for most homes.
3. Telescopic Wand Adjusts to You
The wand extends and retracts to match your height. Tall users will not hunch over. Short users will not strain to reach. It is a small feature, but in a household with multiple users of different heights, everyone appreciates it.
4. Spinning Sweeper Attachment
The motorized spinning sweeper tool is the best hard-floor edge attachment we have tested. It has a rotating brush that sweeps debris out of corners and along baseboards into the suction path. Better than any crevice tool for edge cleaning.
What We Do Not Like
- Tiny dust bin (0.5L): You will empty it 2-3 times per cleaning session with pets. The auto-emptying dock mitigates this, but if you forget to dock it after every use, the bin fills fast.
- Expensive bags ($8 each): The dock uses proprietary bags that last 1-2 months each. Add $48-96/year in bag costs — something no other cordless vacuum requires.
- No particle sensor or LCD: For $899, you expect Dyson-style smart features. The Bespoke Jet has none — just a battery indicator and suction mode LEDs.
- App is unnecessary: Samsung's SmartThings app lets you check battery and filter status. You will use it once and never open it again.
Our Verdict: Buy It for the Dock, Not the Vacuum
The Samsung Bespoke Jet is a good cordless vacuum attached to a great auto-emptying dock. The vacuum itself cleans well but lacks the refinement and smart features of Dyson. The dock, however, is genuinely innovative — if you hate emptying dust bins and want a vacuum that lives in your living room rather than a closet, the Bespoke Jet is the only game in town.
